3× World Champion
SJJA Aura is the Sunshine Coast of Sharp Jiu Jitsu Academy.
The story starts in 2016. Bruno Alves, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and multiple-time World Champion, opened the first SJJA in Sydney with one goal: teach world-class Jiu-Jitsu to as many people as possible. The academy grew into one of the largest and most respected BJJ networks in Australia.
At SJJA Aura we focus on more than just techniques. We build confidence, discipline, resilience and a strong sense of community. Our structured programs are designed to help every student grow both physically and mentally, on and off the mats.
For families across Aura, Baringa, Nirimba, Banya, Bells Creek and Baringa South, our Kids BJJ program provides the perfect outlet for energy while developing focus, respect and self-confidence in a safe and fun environment.
Adults and teens can expect a professional and motivating training experience focused on real technique, self-defence, fitness and personal growth. Whether your goal is to get fit, learn something new or challenge yourself, SJJA Aura is the place to begin.
SJJA Aura is part of the Sharp Jiu Jitsu Academy network — one of Australia’s largest Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy groups, with locations across New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia. That means a proven curriculum, nationally consistent coaching standards, and a grading system recognised across every SJJA location.
We’re more than a martial arts school—we’re a community. Kids, parents, beginners, and black belts train together, learning practical self-defence, improving fitness, and growing in a supportive environment.
Every class
Bruno Alves is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt 4th degree under Zé Radiola (ZR Team). He has won World, Pan American, South American and European titles at middleweight.
Every SJJA academy, including Aura, teaches the methodology he built. That’s what makes the coaching consistent no matter which location you walk into Aura QLD.
Whether you’re searching for Kids BJJ in Aura or Baringa, adult classes in Baringa, or you’re completely new to martial arts, our academy offers a supportive and high-quality training environment for all levels.
